Star Challenge can. Come battle it out under the Big Top at the Georgia
International Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
If necessity is the mother of
invention, then the city of Atlanta, Georgia can thank the rapid growth and
expansion of Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport for its grand convention
and meeting facility. The convention and meeting facility is the centerpiece of
the planned Gateway Center complex, a 155-acre multipurpose commercial
development on Camp Creek Parkway at Roosevelt Highway. The complex will
combine the convention and meeting capabilities of the new GICC with 2,000
hotel rooms, a consolidated rental car compound, and a people-mover linking to
Hartsfield’s existing light rail and office buildings.
